"I prefer to live in colour"-David Hockney, echoed by Carissa Bub.
I know from my own life how frightening it feels to be disconnected - from yourself, from meaning, from others, from whatever once felt like home.
And I know the way back.
My work is about reconnection. To yourself. To the people around you. To the future you’re trying to bring into being.
We meet through honest conversation, presence, and the kind of attention that helps you remember what you already know.
When you reconnect to deeper intelligence and strengthen the relational field, you restore your capacity to imagine and create a future that works. Not just for you, but for all life. In practice, that looks like trust rebuilt, communication that lands, wiser decisions under pressure, and change that actually sticks.
What allows me to hold this?
Psychological depth and coaching practice
I’m professionally certified to coach individuals, teams, and relationship systems — credentialed with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) as both coach and supervisor. I trained in systems coaching at CRR Global (now on faculty) and growth-edge coaching with Cultivating Leadership.
Study across developmental psychology (Master’s in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology, UCL), relationship systems, somatic intelligence, and contemplative traditions informs how I work — attending to what lives beneath strategy.
Twenty-five years partnering with leaders through long-term coaching, team development, and leadership programmes.
“Carissa has the combined unique skill of getting under the skin of an issue with incredible insight coupled with a true grasp of commercial reality and business.”

Communication and observation
Earlier in my career I was a BBC and ITV journalist. I’ve worked as a global media trainer and developed curriculum for corporate leadership academies.
That foundation now shapes how I support leaders to communicate with authenticity and impact — whether addressing boards, teams, investors, or the person across the table whose trust determines everything.
The contemplative ground
My work rests on practice—daily, quiet, simple. Study with the School of Contemplative Companions sharpens it. Contemplation opens a gap between stimulus and response; in it, reactivity loosens and perspective returns. Stillness is leverage. It slows the conversation to the pace of truth so imagination and creative choice can appear. This is the attention I bring—and why I can sit with what’s emergent without forcing it.
“Carissa is just an outstanding coach and expert in the human condition.”
- Brady Rafuse, CEO, euNetworks
